Anonymous asked: What are your thoughts on the Japanese side of the industry?

I can’t claim a lot of knowledge about the japanese industry because, frankly, it’s hard enough to find info on the Western industry.

But that said, there are some obvious issues.  First of all, the fact that pornography can be incredibly vile, but still censored, is ridiculous.  What’s more, is, that is basically funding the Japanese mob, because their number one source of income is importing and selling uncensored western pornography, OR distributing domestic uncensored pornography. 

It’s a clear case of needless restriction breeding a black market.

Another issue, and this includes manga and anime, is there is a really big focus on rape and molestation in japanese media.  This is born out of social norms, eg sex is seen as dirty, and good japanese girls don’t want sex, so rape because a way to preserve these norms while including sex in stories.  It’s very bizarre and disturbing.  I mean, here’s an example:  Tentacle rape, clearly a staple of japanese porn, is born (or at least, popularized in modern times), by the fact that you can’t show uncensored cocks in japanese pornography, but you can show, uncensored, throbbing cumming pulsating ‘tentacles’.

The whole industry is skirting the issue.

Also, there seems to be a dirth of lesbian porno, at least compared to western output.

Still, japanese women can be incredibly attractive, it’s just frustrating, the state of the medium.
